UPDATE ON MY PASTOR: They went in last night and cleaned up the shattered bone in his heels, but will not do the surgery to repair them until a later time. They went in to fix his back today, and discovered that it was much worse than originally anticipated. They had originally thought that they would be able to fuse the bones back together and support them with steel rods, however, when they got in there, they found that most of the bones in his lover back had been crushed. His dad said that the doctor described it as there was mush where bone should have been. They were ale to go in and put in some hardware and repair 70% of the damage, but they will have to go in through the front next week to repair the other 30% b/c there is so much damage they can’t even reach it all from the back. So he has a LONG way to go. On the bright side, God did preform 2 miracles in this. #1, that he fell 25 feet to concrete and lived to tell about it, and #2, the Dr. told his dad that he had never seen anyone with such an extensive back injury that ever walked again, and he said that he monitored Dave throughout the whole surgery, and he never lost any of the movement in his legs or feet for even a minute. The Doctor called it a miracle!! So we can praise God that he protected Dave and that he will be able to walk again when this is all over. Please continue to lift him up in prayer as he has a very long road ahead of him. There will be a prayer service for him tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7:00 at the Baptist church in Calhoun. Everyone is welcome to come and gather with us as we lift Dave up in prayer
