Calhoun Baptist Church News “Easter Sunday” April 20,2014~

Easter Sunday Services began at 8:30 in the Fellowship Hall with Breakfast for everyone! This most delicious food was prepared by the men in our congregation! Thank you for all of your work for the Lord on this wonderful day of celebration! This our Savior’s Resurrection and his overcoming the sting of death by rising from the grave on the third day after His crucifixion on the cross! He did not do this needlessly because He is the Savior of all who will accept him as the King and the center of their life.
The Devotion and Invitation to come to Jesus was awesome this morning with 6 people choosing to make Christ the center of their lives (1 adult and 5 children). This is the result of our prayers from Calhoun Baptist Church.
The Egg Hunt was awesome for the children and the adults as well!
Many folks stayed for the Worship Services. The choir and congregation sang the songs of Praise to the Risen Christ whom we serve.
Our Pastor David brought a great sermon that God had laid upon his heart!
This is some of the proofs we find in the Bible that Jesus is the Messiah!
John Ch. 20:30 & 31, Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe[ that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
What is keeping you from believing and being baptized? Then making Him the center of your life.
