Calhoun Baptist Church News October 12, 2014~
Rev. David Van Bebber, Pastor:

Today we had special visitors from Brother David’s home church in Kansas. It is always great to have visitors and good to see those folks whom are a part of our church family, but have not been able to attend for awhile.

The Message for today is called, “One Mind for Christ” the key verses are from Act. 1:12-14-

Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

One Mind for Christ, be unified in prayer, unified in suffering, unified in purpose, and unified in the Spirit. Do not lean on your own understanding! God sent the Holy Spirit when Jesus returned to Heaven and He will return SOON! The Holy Spirit will guide us until then! Oh, what a Glorious day that will be when we see Jesus coming back in the way He went into Heaven. Only He will bring His Saints with Him. We shall forever be with Him if we have chosen to serve Him in this life. Can you read the writing on the wall? Read about the story in Daniel Ch.5
