Church News – November 6th 2020

Does your walk back your talk? Are you living out the word in your life every day?  These questions were asked by Pastor Mark Abney as he delivered the message Walk With God.  He chose 1 John 2:1-6 as his text. In these verses, we see three characteristics of Jesus.  1) Who Jesus is:  He is the righteous one, our advocate. 2)  What He has done:  Jesus has atoned or forgiven our sins; He is our High Priest.  3)  What He commands: we are to obey His Word.  As Christians, Jesus is our savior, our advocate, our Lord.

Prayer concerns this week are for Martie Henne, Angela Buchanon, Dan Pennock, and Caroline Wilson,   Our thoughts and prayers are for our nation during this important time in our country’s history.  How thankful we are that God hears and answers prayers.

Celebrate Recovery continues on Sunday evenings.  What do you have to lose – a hurt, hangup, or habit?  Come join CR at 5:30 pm with a light supper.  Then at 6:30 pm, large group worship is followed by small groups at 7:30 pm.  We’ll save a chair for you.

On Saturday, November 7th we will be meeting at 11:00 am to pack our boxes for Samaritan’s Purse. A light lunch will be served.  Bring all your treasures for the children and help us get our boxes ready to be mailed for Operation Christmas Child.

Remember November 11th is Veteran’s Day.  Tell a Veteran you appreciate their selfless service to our country.
