Following up on last week’s sermon of being in God’s will, Pastor Mark Abney brought the message this Sunday Staying In God’s Will.  Hebrews 13:20-21 was the scriptural text he chose.  Satan is working overtime to derail us but don’t give in.  Use God’s word to stay true to God’s will.  Two main things get us off God’s path:  Fear and Worry. These two rob us of our joy.  Apply God’s word so you can overcome.  Rejoice, pray, be obedient, and trust; then you will be able to stay in God’s will.

We wish a belated happy birthday to Chad Price who celebrated his special day on April 14.

On our prayer list this week we have Bob Hawkins, Shirley and Jim Bilbruck, Janet and Gary Taylor, Pat Kampe, Marti Henne, Vernon Kampe Jr., and Hoss Rima.   Please remember to keep these in your prayers.

We are collecting an offering for North American Missions called the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.  The collection will continue throughout the month of April.  This is your opportunity to be a part of helping to spread the gospel throughout North America. Please pray about what the Lord would have you give.

Celebrate Recovery continues each Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm with dinner.  At 6:30 pm worship begins followed by small groups at 7:30.  The lesson last week was MORAL:  make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself.  Let us examine our ways and test them and let us return to the Lord.  Lamentations 3:40.  Come check out CR where you can leave your hurts, hang-ups, and habits behind.

Drive-in, inside, and live streaming of our worship service is available.  To hear the worship service within the city limits tune your radio dial to 93.1 FM.  Live streaming of our service begins at 11:00 am.   Check it out by going to our Facebook page and you can worship with us in real-time.  Pastor Mark’s sermon is also available as a podcast on our website.

We hope that you will continue to support the church with your tithes and offerings.  If you are unable to come in person, please mail your offerings to Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, MO 65323.

Come join us for Sunday School beginning at 10:00 am and Worship at 11:00 am.  We look forward to greeting you.
