Calhoun Baptist Church

Rev. Jordan Hodges- Pastor

Gods house was a little bit cool when we arrived on Sunday morning January 15, 2012. We depended upon the Holy Spirit to keep us warm since the heating unit for the upstairs was not functioning properly. The love of God and the fellowship of other believers kept us warm during Sunday School and Worship Services while Brother Jordan brought his sermon from the book of Micah.

Micah. 6:8 NIV:

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God.

Also from the book of Matthew NIV:

Ch: 6:14 and 15, For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Walk with God, he wants you to know Him! Two of the biggest requirements of being a Christian are forgiveness and mercy for others. Do you extend mercy when there is a need to forgive others? The way we forgive others is how God will see us as wanting Him to forgive us of our sins.
