Calhoun Baptist Church News, June 24, 2012 ~
Our speaker for today was Deacon Mark Schneider, who gave his own Personal Testimony. It was titled “ God’s Unconditional Love.”
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 kjv.
We do know that God is Love. He loves us all the same, but is His love always unconditional? He loves us, not our sins.
The Pharisees, when they heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing Jesus. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”Jesus said to him,”‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” You will find these in the book of Matthew, Chapter 22, verses 34-40.
