Calhoun Baptist Church News December 21, 2014~
Rev. David Van Bebber, Pastor:

This morning we observed the 3rd. Sunday of Advent with the Willings family reading the scripture and Brother Kenneth lite the next candle of Advent Wreath and Sister Debbie added a word of prayer afterwards..
The Poinsettias looked so beautiful on the Alter and setting everywhere!
Each Sunday School Class had a part to do in the Christmas Program. The children were so awesome with their parts of their presentations and they were so excited when Santa’s Elf, (aka) Brother Terry Barrow began to pass out the gifts!

Brother David’s message today was taken from the book of Matthew 2:1-12.

The Magi Visit the Messiah:

Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.
How far are we willing to travel to meet the Savior of the world, the Messiah who was born king of the Jews? I am so thankful for the privilege we have to worship Him in the way we choose! Will you invite Him to your “Holiday Celebrations” this year? We here at Calhoun Baptist Church hope that you remember the “Reason for the Christmas Season.

Our Prayer concerns are for: The family of Frances Barrow, Daryl Fallin, Mark Isabell, William Brown, Chuck Marriott, Rick Fosnow, David Pugh, Sharon Kneck, Casey Miller, Clayton & Amanda Kreisel

“Lottie Moon Christmas Offering” is this month.
