In our community we are blessed to have a Daily News Paper who prints the News from all of the places of Worship in the Golden Valley Area. As a member of the family at Calhoun Baptist Church I want to say a great big THANK YOU to “The Clinton Daily Democrat and all of your Staff and your Sponsors who make it all possible!
Brother Davids Sermon was from the Book of Acts. Ch. 4: 1-4 from the N A S Bible and this was also the reading of the Word. The Message was called “The Two Responses”.
As they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to them, being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them and put them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening. But many of those who had heard the message believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
Thought for this week is: We should always stand up for God just like we stand up for the Reading of the Word of God!
