Church News – May 3rd

Our Heavenly Father provided the beautiful day and Pastor Mark provided an inspirational message titled Holy Spirit from Galatians 5:22.  Have you ever felt led by the Holy Spirit?  Most times we neglect His leading in our lives.  Sometimes we are so busy trying to become more spiritual that we miss the Spirit.  If we would allow the Spirit to control our body we would go about doing awesome things.  As Christians, we should manifest the fruits of the Spirit.  How does being filled with the Spirit manifest itself in a pandemic?  It means we are stepping up and helping others, we are the Church mobilized.

Continued prayers are important for our country’s leaders and health care workers, those who are sick with or have lost loved ones with Covid 19, school children, teachers, and families.  Aren’t we grateful to have a God who hears and answers our prayers?

Worship with us at Celebrate Recovery on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm with a drive-in service or via live stream on our church website.  All are invited.

Drive-in service meets in our back parking lot at 11:00 am Sunday mornings.  We remain in our cars and hear the word of God from our pastor.  We maintain the social distance and still greet one another with smiles and waves.

We encourage you to remain faithful with your offering or tithe.  You may also mail it into Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, Missouri 65323.
