Church News – May 15th

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name. With this song, we opened our worship service back within our church building. It was the perfect time to social distance and greet one another on Mother’s Day. All ladies in attendance were presented with a flower in their honor. Pastor Mark Abney brought the message titled Trust God using Psalm 4 as his scripture text. In this Psalm written by David, he is calling out to God. David knows God is blessing him because he is God’s man. God has called each one of us and he has a plan, He expects us to be obedient. We have sin in our earthly life but God will hear our prayers if we repent. He is a gracious and awesome God. We can have peace during this pandemic because God is near to all who call on Him.

We lift up in prayer Caroline Wilson, Cheyenne Waggoner, Michael Parker, and Jerry Reiners. Let us remember to include our nation’s leaders, emergency responders, medical personnel, and all families who are affected with sickness or job loss. Praise be to God that he hears and answers all prayers.

Celebrate Recovery continues on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm. Come see where God is at work. All are invited.

For the time being our Sunday School is suspended but Worship begins at 11:00 am.

We encourage you to remain faithful with your offering or tithe. You may mail it into Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, Missouri 65323 or deliver it in person.
