Church News – October 2nd 2020

As we go through life we will encounter difficulties because we live in a fallen world.  With these opening words,  Pastor Mark Abney began his message titled The Role of the Church using Ephesians 3:8-13 as his text.  The question is “What is the Church’s role”?  The Church’s role is to make Christ known.  To know the truth and not tell people the truth, in love, is the least loving thing we can do. To know the truth and not do anything is sinful.  God has called his people into action, to be the difference in the world.

As you go through your day please remember to pray for our school children, school personnel, healthcare workers, and all involved in our community during this time of COVID.  Pray without ceasing for our country, leaders, and citizens as we make important voting decisions.  Please specifically mention the names of Caroline Wilson, Naomi Grace, Ashley Wheatley, and Doris Ogan.  Praise be to God who hears and answers our prayers.

Happy September birthdays to David Rima September 4th and Sandra Spooner September 27th.  We wish a happy anniversary to Jeff and Heather Hollinger who celebrated their special day on September 17th.
