Church News – October 16th

Because God upholds us we shall not be afraid.  With these words, Pastor Mark Abney opened his uplifting and encouraging message titled Fear Not.  He chose Isaiah 41:1-13 as his biblical text.  God walks with us, his children, every step of the way.  He waits for us to call upon Him.  We don’t need to worry about our future because God is all-powerful and He rules.  We don’t fear because we know the purposes, plans, and power of God.  Fear, not Christian.

We want to remember in prayer our country during this time of important decisions.  Remember to lift up school children and personnel, emergency, and all workers for safety.  Special prayers for Martie Henne, Caroline Wilson, Naomi Grace, Dan Pennock, Doris Ogan, and Abigail Lewis.  Praise be to our God who is always as near as a prayer.

We wish a happy anniversary to Pam and Terry Townsend who celebrated October 14th.  God bless your marriage.

Celebrate Recovery continues on Sunday evenings.  Remember to reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for your life and to gain the power to follow His will.   These words are Principle 7 from the CR lesson for the week.  They serve as a reminder for all believers.  Come join CR which begins at 5:30 pm with a light supper.  Then at 6:30 pm, large group worship is followed by small groups at 7:30 pm.  What time of day are YOU scheduling for your quiet time with God?

This Saturday evening, October 17th we will have a fish fry and hayride at 5 pm.  Come join the fun and bring a covered dish of food.  Make plans to attend.

Live streaming of our worship service continues at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings.  Check it out by going to our Facebook page and you can worship with us in real-time.  The sermon is also available as a podcast on our website.

Join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 am for Sunday School and Worship at 11:00 am.  We look forward to greeting you.
