Church News – November 13th 2020

In the World, Not Of the World was the title of Pastor Mark Abney’s sermon.  He chose       1John 2: 15-17 as his biblical text.  Do you know why John says don’t love the things of this world?  It seems that evil goes on and on and nothing stops it.  When we feel discouraged or stressed, we must go back to the Word of God then we will be able to say “It is well with my soul”.  As Christians, we should be different from the world.  We must not look like, think like or act like the world.  No matter what goes on we must always remember GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Prayer concerns this week are for Martie Henne, Dan Pennock, Keith Slack, Dorris Ogan, and Caroline Wilson,   Our thoughts and prayers are for our nation and leaders. God is our steadfast hope and He always hears and answers our prayers.

Happy birthday wishes go out to our pastor, Mark Abney who celebrated on November 4th, and Gerald Barrow on November 6th.  We hope both these gentlemen had a special day.
