The Anointing was the title of the message Pastor Mark Abney brought Sunday morning.  Matthew 25:1-13 was his text.  Be ready for Jesus’ return.  There will be many signs as the time nears.  How do we make ourselves ready?  First and foremost, Jesus must become your Savior, and then you will be anointed with the Holy Spirit.  The anointing oil comes from the reading of God’s Word.  Go to the spigot daily and get filled.  Then you will be ready for Jesus.

Our prayer concerns this week are for Robin Bales, Kay Pogue, Pat Kampe, Susie Reynolds, and the Pauline Willings family.   It is comforting and assuring to know that we pray to a God who listens and answers.

Celebrate Recovery continues each Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 pm with dinner.  At 6:30 pm worship begins followed by small groups at 7:30.  Come check out CR and leave your hurts, hang-ups, and habits behind.

Drive-in, inside, and live streaming of our worship service is available.  To hear the worship service within the city limits tune your radio dial to 93.1 FM.  Live streaming of our worship service begins at 11:00 am.   Check it out by going to our Facebook page and you can worship with us in real-time.  Pastor Mark’s sermon is also available as a podcast on our website.

We hope that you will continue to support the church with your tithes and offerings during this difficult time.  If you are unable to come in person, please mail your offerings to Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, MO 65323.
