A Believer’s Resolve was the title pastor Mark Abney chose for his sermon as he continued in Romans 1: 7-16.   Paul made 3 statements of resolve: I am a debtor, I am ready, and I am not ashamed.  As followers of Jesus Christ, we too should be resolved to these statements.  Are you ready to share the gospel with those who do not know Jesus as their Savior?  What really matters in this world is what you do with Jesus Christ.

Prayer concerns this week are for Taylor Henson, Merrill and Linda Huey, Darren Huey, Don Gregory, and Pat Kampe.  How comforting it is to know we serve a risen Savior who hears and answers our prayers.

Celebrate Recovery continues on Sunday evenings.  At 5:30 pm dinner is served followed by worship at 6:30 pm.  Small group support happens at 7:30.  Come be a part of this fellowship.  Make new friends and help strengthen your resolve to live a victorious life.

We will be holding Vacation Bible School this summer during the week of August 2-6.  Make plans now to send your kiddos and come yourself as there will be classes for Preschool through Adults.  This will be a great time for families to share the VBS experience together.

Drive-in, inside, and live streaming of our worship service is available.  To hear the worship service within the city limits tune your radio dial to 93.1 FM.  Live streaming of our service begins at 11:00 am.   Check it out by going to our Facebook page and you can worship with us in real-time.  Pastor Mark’s sermon is also available as a podcast on our website.

We hope that you will continue to support the church with your tithes and offerings.  If you are unable to come in person, please mail your offerings to Calhoun Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Calhoun, MO 65323.

Come join us for Sunday School beginning at 10:00 am and Worship at 11:00 am.  We look forward to greeting you.
