Mature Christian love is not blind; it carefully assesses what is right and wrong, striving to be “sincere” and authentic—much like ancient pottery held up to the sunlight to prove it has no hidden flaws or wax filling in the cracks.
Ultimately, we are reminded that we do not have to manufacture this growth on our own. It is God who plants the seed and begins this good work in us, and we can trust Him to complete it until our lives are filled with the fruits of righteousness
